The Monsters of the Star Wars Galaxy

Monsters have been a recurring part of the Star Wars saga. From the “dianoga” from A New Hope, to the “bigger fish” of The Phantom Menace, our heroes have repeatedly encountered large dangerous creatures. The Last Jedi is certainly no different, and several details have emerged about a critical scene. Let’s take a moment to discuss, spoilers below.

The new EU

For years the old EU was the only new Star Wars we got, then the Prequels happened! And then it was back to the EU, which was then wiped clean with the exception of The Clone Wars series once Disney acquired Lucasfilm. This was done for several reason which we discussed here. It was a good call without most of the reasons and today I’m going to discuss why the New EU is so much better.

“Loth-rat, Loth-cat, Loth-wolf, run. Pick a path and all is done.”

In the season 2 episode entitled “Shroud of Darkness”, Ezra chooses his path by reciting the following Lothal rhyme:

Loth-rat, Loth-cat, Loth-wolf, run. Pick a path and all is done.

Ignite the Green

With the Vanity Fair article last week we got a few new shots of Luke Skywalker and one thing was conspicuously missing, his lightsaber. The weapon of Jedi Knight that told Vader Luke had completed his training, the question is why. Let’s jump into what rumors are out concerning Luke and see if we can figure it out.
