It’s been a wild ride over the past half a decade, but now that we’re only a month away from learning every Star Wars secret, I thought it would be appropriate to make one last case for Rey being a Skywalker (or, interchangeably, a Solo).

The Falcon, The Maw, and The Rise of Skywalker
With the release of The Rise of Skywalker trailer, it’s been quite an exciting time for the Star Wars community. Now that Palpatine is almost assuredly back, things are looking more and more like Lucasfilm has not only had an overall plan from the start, but has been dropping detectable clues along the way through other media. One thread in particular casts the Millennium Falcon as the key to facing the dark side foe of the new film. Potential spoilers and speculation below.
The Past and Future of Vader’s Mask
It goes without saying that the Sequel Trilogy leaves a huge, mysterious time gap of 30 years between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. What it contains, we barely know, save for a few spotty retellings of Kylo Ren’s fall in The Last Jedi. The Force Awakens only hints at what came before, and the film contains a number of moments that can be read as foreshadowing or seeds planted for payoffs later. One of the biggest mysteries planted right into The Force Awakens that i don’t think has been taken seriously enough is Darth Vader’s mask.

One of the more under-appreciated elements of Lucas’s expanded world is the group of force users known as the Nightsisters. In this article we will take a fresh look at who they are, and what implications the mythology surrounding them has for the Sequel Trilogy.

The latest issue affirms what many had thought about how we should interpret Star Wars canon. Is Anakin Skywalker really the Chosen One, and what implications does this have for the conclusion of the Skywalker saga? Read on for more, spoilers and speculation below.
How Lucasfilm Has Changed Palpatine and Vader’s Motives, and What It Means for the Sequel Trilogy
Ever since Return of the Jedi, we’ve know about the dynamic between Vader and Palpatine. Palpatine’s objective is to rule the galaxy totally and completely, and at his side is Vader: attack dog and servant—trapped both in a mechanical prison and his role at the Emperor’s enforcer. However, new canon material reveals there is much more to it than that, and this has radical implications on the rest of the saga.
