Weekly Star Wars Recap #146: June 11th, 2018

Hi there Star Wars fans. With Solo seeming to wind down in the theaters, and The Last Jedi winding down in the blue ray, it would seem like there isn’t too much to talk about. However, we’ve got a few small details regarding some other Star Wars projects! Let’s take a look.

Minor Details on Star Wars: Resistance

We’ve just learned a bit a bout a pair of minor characters in Resistance. According to Jim Rash, his character and Bobby Moynihan’s character will work in the equipment check-out station, and be sort of an “odd couple”, and have some similarities to Oscar and Felix from The Odd Couple. The two voice actors aren’t really privy to much beyond their role, and therefore are not part of the main action.

Battlefront II Details

Fans of the Clone Wars will be happy to learn of the announcement of Clone Wars downloadable content. Other new features include Solo content on Kessel, RotJ levels around the battle of Endor.  In other game news, it seems that Bad Robot is entering the gaming realm as well!

Ron Howard Interview

In the Empire Film Podcast, Ron Howard shares a lot of details regarding the making of the movie. Among the new stuff is dispensing the rumor that there is a larger corporate agenda from Disney. He rejects the rumor that Phil Lord and Chris Miller had done too many ad libs with the script. On the contrary, says Ron Howard, ad libs were encouraged by the Kasdans. He has also confirmed that there is “no concrete plan” on doing another Solo. That said, I personally think you can bet that there are some options on the table. However the box office disappoinment may temper any plans that may have been in the works.
