One more week and once again we get exciting news to report since we waited a day or so to put out the recap! Hey, we’ve been a little haphazard with the days of these recaps! Life has been busy. Hopefully after next week, we’ll be back to Monday’s for the recaps. As always potential Spoilers ahead.
Episode IX cast revealed!
JJ Abrams released the official cast list on Star Wars.com last week. The big news was Carrie Fisher being in the cast as JJ will use previously shot footage to bring her into the film and action. We wrote an article about Leia last week. It also confirmed that Lando will be back which I think we all expected but its nice to see confirmed. One big absence… no Gwendolyn Christie meaning its likely that Finn DID in fact kill Phasma, unless she’s being hidden as a surprise.

Finn, Chewbaccca and a third person in the pilot’s seat. Could it be Rey? Poe? JJ just sitting there for a second? Hard to tell. If you look closely you will see Finn in what looks like PART of his old jacket, maybe now a vest? Speaking of Finn, we just got a closer look at his hair in this recent instagram post:
Star Wars to shoot in Jordan?
According to MSW Lucasfilm is looking to shoot in Jordan. They have done so before in Rogue One and originally Jordan was going to be Jakku. So could they be heading back to Jakku (I’m sure Finn objects) or perhaps to Jedha, a part not destroyed by the Death Star? Or a whole new dessert planet! Going back to Jakku in the third film of this trilogy would be a nice callback to the OT, in the way that they went back to Luke’s home planet in Return of the Jedi, the third movie in the trilogy.

The good folks at WDW News Today have some new photos of a spaceship at Galaxy’s Edge! Personally, I haven’t seen anything quite like this one in the films, but it definitely looks like classic Star Wars design elements. Check it out the images for yourself!
