New Trailer for Solo DVD/Bluray
There is a new trailer for the Solo DVD/Bluray that will be released on Sept 25th.
Rian Johnson is working on a new film with Daniel Craig
This one is a bit of a surprise to me. I would have thought the new trilogy would keep Rian completely occupied for years to come. We’ve now learned that he has a few other projects before thing kicks into high-gear for his trilogy. Deadline reports that Rian is working on a contemporary murder mystery called Knives Out starring Daniel Craig. By the way, not sure if anyone out there believed those rumors that his trilogy was cancelled, but they are of course b.s. and the trilogy is very much happening.
Rian Johnson rewatched Mortis before TLJ
This one is really intriguing. We’ve known for a while that Lucasfilm is a very collaborative place, with people sharing ideas.
I think this tweet suggests an awesome collaborative environment at Lucasfilm. I love the fact that Rian would research the animated work while preparing to write. The other thing that is interesting about this is the idea that Ahch-To is one of the places in the Galaxy like Mortis that are deeply connected with the Force.
Mark Hamill tweets about “working”

This one is probably intriguing for a lot of people because of the lack of a beard on Mark. We don’t know though. It’s definitely within the bounds of possibility that Mark is pulling a fast one on everyone, and has taken photos of himself a long time ago so that fans freak out that he’s lost the beard. Actually, that is what I thought when I I saw that Joker tweet. We all know Mark loves to troll the fans, so I wouldn’t put this past him. It’s also possible that Force-ghost Luke doesn’t have a beard….
Dominic Monaghan also tweeted that he is headed to filming.
Gleeson hints at Skywalker “doing something”
File this one under “vague”. Admiral Hux actor Domhnall Gleeson has stated something could mean something or mean nothing. In an interview with Happy Sad Confused, he said the following:
The nightmare is you wake up on a plane and someone’s dictating. You wake up and your mouth is shaping words, you wake up and you’re like ‘Skywalker did this.’ And then you realize you don’t know how long you’ve been speaking, and there’s a kid filming, there’s somebody writing it down.
OK, so he probably was just throwing out a random example here. Or it could mean that there is something awesome that Luke Skywalker does in Episode IX, and something that he’s afraid to slip out. Either way, this one is so vague that its essentially a nothing-burger.
Oscar Isaac tells us where the Resistance is in IX
In this article on USA Today, Oscar compares the Resistance to “guerrilla fighters, adhering closer to something like the Revolutionary War fighters” and says its a war movie, a movie about warriors…. Sounds like there will be non stop action based on Oscar!
