Hello there, Star Wars fans! We’re back to discuss the latest news and rumors in another weekly Star Wars recap! There is a fair amount of stuff to cover, so let’s break it down.
Leaked Episode IX Concept Art
Redditor JediPaxis posted some leaked material that had been sent to him from what he calls a “reliable source”. These photos look legit, and have been altered digitally to protect the identity of the source leaker. Interestingly, the droid image looks like “Dio” (D-0), which was reported by MSW and another probably legit leak on reddit. For this reason, the likely validity of that reddit leak makes me want to go back and study it.
Regarding the leaked photos, some good stuff there. Rey dressed in white, and Lando dressed in an updated version of one of his Solo outfits. Richard E Grant in costume, who looks like a First Order officer. Hit the link for more.
Benioff and Weiss to get Star Wars trilogy
While we’ve long known that Benioff and Weiss will develop their Star Wars movies, a recent interview suggests that it will in fact be a trilogy of films. This might have been somewhat expected, but now we have independent support for this idea. It’s also possible that this could be a miscommunication, but maybe not. I could see that B&W would be straight with their boss, and share this info if they had it.

Nobody knows the title of Episode IX
Recently, an interview with Naomi Ackie dropped. Good stuff there, check it out starting at 3:30. She confirmed that she will be in scenes with John Boyega and Oscar Isaac, as well as Daisy Ridley. Among the things she said, she confirmed that she didn’t know the title of the upcoming Star Wars film she is in! This point was echoed by Pablo Hidalgo, and by Dominic Monaghan. Word is that only JJ knows the title, and maybe Kathy Kennedy? The level of lockdown on this film is amazing. In fact, Pablo Hidalgo speculates that we won’t know the title until Celebration, which would mean we might get the trailer, the title, and our first look at the film all at the same time!

Celebration News
We’ve gotten word of some more big names being at Celebration. Among them, Ian McDiarmid, probably John Boyega, Peter Mayhew, add to the list already including lots of fan favorites. I’ll be looking forward to this one, and my recommendation is get in that Episode IX panel line EARLY.
