Hello, Star Wars fans! We’re still reeling from the excitement of Celebration. The biggest event for me was the Episode IX panel. There has been quite a lot of discussion online about the meaning of the title for the new film. However, if past films are any indication, the name probably has multiple meanings that could be revealed throughout the film. Let’s discuss three intriguing possibilities.
Greetings, Star Wars fans! It’s that time again. That rare occasion when we get a brand new trailer for a brand new movie to come. Almost everything we know about this film is contained within this trailer, along with the other leaks, rumors and speculation that we’ve been covering. Let’s take a moment to digest this trailer, and contemplate what it all means.
It goes without saying that the Sequel Trilogy leaves a huge, mysterious time gap of 30 years between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. What it contains, we barely know, save for a few spotty retellings of Kylo Ren’s fall in The Last Jedi. The Force Awakens only hints at what came before, and the film contains a number of moments that can be read as foreshadowing or seeds planted for payoffs later. One of the biggest mysteries planted right into The Force Awakens that i don’t think has been taken seriously enough is Darth Vader’s mask.
