Hello, Star Wars fans! It’s about that time, isn’t it? Time for another Recap of the latest in Star Wars news and rumors. Let’s jump right in.
Galaxy’s Edge News Roundup
Galaxy’s Edge has now been officially opened in Disney Land since May 31st, and opens in will open in Walt Disney World on August 29th. Interesting to note that rumors are circulating that a Galaxies Edge attraction will be added to Disneyland Paris by 2024.

While this rumor does seem possible, the date is far enough into the future that things may change. For example, there have been some rumblings that the Disneyland version has had lighter crowds than expected. This could certainly change with the new movie, and the steady stream of new TV shows that are coming to Disney+ in the near future.
Rise of Skywalker News and Rumors
In a recent interview with Happy Sad Confused podcast, Daisy Ridley has shared a few details about ROS. For one, she teases the idea that she and Kylo have a “great fight”, and in fact uses this phrase three time. She also says that her fighting ability is significantly better, which might be expected considering Rey has been training for at least a year since TLJ. She also followed up an said the fight was “epic” and even looked epic at the time of filming. I for one felt that the most exciting image from the Vanity Fair set was the fight between Kylo and Rey on what many have said looks like a piece of the Death Star II.
Daisy has also called the ending of the film “emotional” in a USA Today interview. This could also mean anything, but in light of all the fights, to me it raises the possibility of a tragic end to the fights.
MakingStarWars just leaked some new concept art, but the images are arguably pretty low quality. However, as Jason points out, some of them give a “Mustafar vibe”. I would tend to agree, especially the first image in the upper left of the grid. Hit the link to see what you think for yourselves.
Another piece of news from the MSW article is the rumors of further filming in Black Park. This rumor is corroborated by “Bespin Bulletin”. I can’t say that BB is a reputable source, but with over 4,000 followers, people are listening to them. I know this doesn’t prove anything, but may give a little bit of “street cred”. Black Park could be anything, and with the right CGI modifications, it could be the moon of Endor, or possibly even part of D’Qar, or maybe even a new planet.
On another note, Joonas Suotamo tweeted the following in response to an IMDB tweet:

New “Sith Trooper” revealed
The official site today confirmed the new Sith Trooper to appear in Rise of Skywalker film. With Palpations rumored and widely assumed to be returning, these troopers would seem like his personal legion of elite officers, or derived from this. The red color harkens back to the Imperial guards, and could quite possibly be connected (my speculation) to that group. Following the heels of the Praetorian guards, it would appear that red is the new black.
I think I’ll leave it here for today. Stay tuned to Spoiled Blue Milk for the best of Star Wars!
