Hello, everyone out there in Star Wars fandom. We’re back to recap the latest Star Wars news and rumors. Today we have a few new pieces of info about Solo: A Star Wars Story. We’re here a day later than usual–life does get in the way sometimes–but at least we’re here, right? So, without further adieu, let’s get to it!
New Empire Magazine Solo Images and News
One thing is for sure, Empire Magazine has been a reliable source for Star Wars content. They seem to have good connections with Disney/Lucasfilm, and quite often are the first to release specific plot points and images from the films. This one is no different. Check out the piece here. One article in particular about Paul Bettany’s character does, however raise some questions about another character being in the film…
Boba Fett in Solo: A Star Wars Story?
We covered a little while ago on the possibility of Boba Fett making an appearance in Solo. There are two pieces of evidence that have emerged. The first is the above-mentioned Paul Bettany article that features the above image, which clearly shows a mandalorian outfit next to him. What’s funny is in our previous article, we discussed how people had already pointed out that same mandalorian helmet in the background of a Ron Howard tweet at this same location. Was that intentional? Here is the image taken from that tweet:
So just having a mandalorian helmet doesn’t necessarily mean much. It could just be an artifact collected by this crime boss. However, recently Collider Videos posted an video with an image purporting to be Slave I, Boba’s famed ship. The image is a bit blurry, but does fit the profile. Probably not enough evidence to hang our, er, helmet on. That being said, there also was an alleged leaked new Boba Fett LEGO image. But again, all this is circumstantial. This could be a case of fans wanting something, and seeing evidence for it when it might not actually be there. We’ll keep an eye on this one.
New Solo TV spot or Trailer on the way?
Some redditors spotted a place-holder for a “private video”, that seems to be on the docket to be released soon. Could this be a new trailer or TV spot? Or maybe it’s a behind the scenes reel? At this point, it’s anyone’s guess, but worth keeping an eye on. I checked and didn’t see the video, so not sure what’s up with that one. In the above image, it looks french, so I’m not sure if this only viewable in France or something?
Tons of Names and Details from Solo Card Game?
Some redditors have gotten their hands on a new Solo card game. It makes total sense that they would have a card game for this movie, with the sabacc scene and everything. This image confirms names we have heard, like “MudTrooper”, and also provides new info on things like the name of Chewie’s rifle.
